Confidentiality & Accountability
Since we believe giving is between you and God, we have a process in place to keep your giving confidential. The only person who has access to giving records is the church Financial Secretary, who provides givers with contribution records for IRS purposes. However, there is always a second person present when money is being counted. This is for security and accountability. Counters are on a rotation so that no one knows on a week to week basis what is being given.
First Christian Church is committed to good stewardship practices with the money that is given to support our ministries.
God has blessed First Christian Church with committed givers who see eternal value in their regular giving. Their gifts support ministries that make a difference in people’s lives. If you are a faithful giver, thank you. If you are thinking about becoming a giver, try these two simple steps.
Step 1. Study
Giving is a spiritual matter—between you and God. That’s why we believe it is important to see what the Bible says about giving. Here are some good places to begin your study as you seek God’s will.
1 Chronicles 29:14-19
STEP 2. Start giving
There are a number of ways you can give. Decide what is best for you and get started with a regular, systematic plan. Here are some options.
Cash or Check
You have opportunities to give during our regular worship services. (Offering envelopes are available if you choose to use them.)
We offer online giving through our secure community management software, Church Community Builder (CCB). You can choose to give a one-time gift or set up regularly scheduled contributions. A credit or debit card will be required. The process is 100% secure and confidential. You will have full access to your giving history. Only the Church Financial Secretary will have access to your contribution information.
Stocks, Estate Planning, Real Estate
These gifts are accepted at the request of donors. For assistance in this matter, please call 270-765-4994 and request our financial secretary.
