In Spirit and TruthStuart Jones Since God’s way of thinking is not our way of thinking, we must study the scriptures to know what He expects of us. Christ outlined certain expectations of how we should worship. “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24) If we truly worship God the way we should, it affects the way we live. We worship something because it has value to us. “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” (Revelation 5:12)
