"I Quit Hurrying"Stuart Jones Thomas Edison once said, “Being busy does not always mean real work.” Hurrying around has become a way of life for us. We hurry to get in front of someone in the grocery store line. We shout at the driver in front of us because he/she isn’t going fast enough. This penchant to focus on unimportant things isn’t new. It showed up in Jesus’ time when He visited the house of Martha and Mary. Martha was consumed with the details of His visit while Mary was consumed with simply letting Jesus pour Himself into her life. We also must learn to slow down and rest in Jesus.
