Cam Huxford grew up in the farmlands of South Carolina, where his early aspirations to become an attorney were transformed at 15 by a call to ministry. He graduated from Point University in 1978 and pursued graduate studies at Emmanuel School of Religion.
At the age of 27, he was called to lead Savannah Christian Church, a congregation that would later be renamed Compassion Christian Church to better reflect its expanding mission to the surrounding communities. After 40 years of dedicated service, Cam
recently retired from the same church, having seen it grow from 260 members to more than 10,000 across seven campuses.
Cam and his wife, Sarah, are proud parents of three sons—Cam, Harrison, and Garrett—who are all actively involved in ministry, along with their wonderful wives, Hailey, Lindsay, and Megan. Together, they have twelve grandchildren, who, as you can imagine, are a joyful blessing to their lives!
