The Process
August 13, 2023 - September 3, 2023
The emphasis of this series is evangelism. And more directed than that, it is an invitation towards baptism for those who have come up short of that complete acceptance of Christ. However, within this series, I want to continually emphasize the process vs. event application of accepting the grace and forgiveness offered by Jesus. Each week I will emphasize part of the process within our whole self to accept Christ without addressing or prescribing a timeline. Each week we will see a part of the process in scripture and yet also see how incomplete it is without the rest of the process. This is inclusive of baptism itself. Without the rest of the wholeness of acceptance, it is an empty event in and of itself. In finally we will even address the idea of a works-based faith. This is incomplete by itself and yet is needed as part of the process or it leaves an emptiness to the decision of any individual. We want to celebrate each part of the process while also expressing each part as incomplete without the rest.
