Jesus became kind by way of the cross, not the sword, not by imposing commands from a nation’s throne, but on his knees washing people’s feet, not by seeking the approval of the rich and powerful, but by advocating for the poor and powerless. This is how Jesus still rules as our king today. He is THE PRINCE OF PEACE. And he wants to quiet your mind and settle you down; He wants us all to eliminate unhealthy anger that is poisoning our lives, relationships, country, and world. May we put down our swords and our unhealthy anger and be quick to listen, slow to speak … and take up our crosses and follow our King
