Mankind’s Path

Without Jesus, we would have no hope. Adam’s disobedience allowed sin and all forms of evil to enter the world, but the story doesn’t end with Adam. God provided humankind with a ray of hope in the form of his son, Christ Jesus, and the grace he brings to us through his death on the cross. “There is a nice symmetry in this: Death initially came by a man, and resurrection from death came by a man. Everybody dies in Adam; everybody comes alive in Christ.”

The Promise

When we hear someone make a promise, it leads to hope the promise will be fulfilled. The Bible includes numerous instances of God promises to His people. Some of those promises involved years of waiting before they were fulfilled. If you are waiting for the fulfillment of a promise God made you, rely on its completion. Live in the hope it will be realized. Hebrews 10:23 tells us “to hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” God’s promises hold more hope for us than anyone else’s promises can ever provide.

KIDTOWN Christmas

Hope fills the room each year when we come together for KidTown Christmas. Directors hope everyone remembers their lines. Parents hope to get that great video shot of their child on stage. Kids hope to look out in the audience and catch a glimpse of the big smiles on their grandparent’s faces. And grandparents hope the children can hold on to the wonder and joy of Christmas for another year, until the season comes around again. Our prayer is that each of us will hear the story and have a clearer understanding of the hope available to us through Jesus.
