Rest
A favorite passage for many Christians is Matthew 11:28-29: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.” (NIV) When plowing his fields, the farmer places one half of the yoke on the older, more experienced ox, and the other half on the younger, less experienced ox. The older ox carries more of the load while the younger ox learns what he is supposed to do. When we take up Jesus’ yoke, we are resting in His strength. There is no better place to be.
